How to make a QR code for a payment or tip link
People often want to pay or tip without cash. A code that opens your payment page, from a provider you already use, makes that one scan.
ThreeDollarQRCode only provides the code. We do not process payments, and the page the code opens is run by your payment provider.
How do I make a QR code for payments?
Get the public link for your payment or tip page from your provider. Check that it shows your name and the right account, then make a dynamic code that opens it.
How do I protect customers from fake QR payment codes?
Scammers sometimes stick their own code over a real one. Check your printed codes often, use laminated holders, and print your business name next to the code so customers can compare it with what appears on their screen.
- Check codes daily if they sit in public.
- Say "Check the name before you pay" on the sign.
- Never use a code someone else gave you.
Where do people use payment QR codes?
Market stalls, tip jars, buskers, small events and donation boxes. A fixed amount or a message in the link may be available, depending on the provider.
Is this financial advice?
No. We make QR codes. Check your provider's rules, fees and security tools before using them for business payments.
