QR codes for craft fairs, makers and market booths
At a fair, people love your work, then walk on. A code on the booth sign and on every hang tag lets them find you later, order the color you ran out of, or join the list for the next drop.
Makers change shops, restock and rename products. A dynamic code on a printed tag still points to the right page.
This is a dynamic QR code: $3 once, and you can change where it points at any time without reprinting. How that works
What should a maker's QR code open?
The best answer is the thing that continues the sale.
- Your online shop, filtered to the product on the tag.
- Your mailing list sign-up with a small reason to join.
- The story page, with how it is made and care instructions.
- Your upcoming fair dates.
Where do QR codes work at a market booth?
Three spots matter most: the front of the table, every tag and the bag or box at checkout. A sign at eye level with one line, such as "Scan to order more", beats a table of text.
Many fairs also have patchy signal, so keep your page quick, and give a short web address beside the code.
How big should the code be on a hang tag?
About 2 to 2.5 cm (0.8 to 1 inch) square on a matte tag, at least. On the table sign, 8 to 10 cm (3 to 4 inches), read from a step away.
| Placement | Code size | Opens |
|---|---|---|
| Booth banner | 15 cm | Shop home |
| Table sign | 8 to 10 cm | Mailing list |
| Hang tag | 2 to 2.5 cm | This product's page |
| Bag insert | 3 cm | Care and reorder |
Can I take card payments with a QR code?
Our code opens a web page, which can be a payment link from your provider. We do not process payments, and fair rules about payment methods are up to the organiser.

Questions
What if my shop moves platforms?
Update the address in your edit link. The tags stay valid.
Can each product have its own code?
Yes, with one code per product or a general one for the shop.
Do customers need an app?
No.
Cost?
$3 once per code.
Is a QR code worth it for a small booth?
It costs $3 once. If it brings back even one repeat customer, it has paid for itself.
