QR codes for trade show booths
At a trade show people walk fast and collect a lot of paper, most of which ends up in the bin. A QR code on your banner or table lets a visitor take what they need with their phone, without stopping for a full conversation.
Pay $3 for a code that opens your demo booking page, spec sheet, or sign-up form. Between shows you change where it points instead of reprinting the banner.
This is a dynamic QR code: $3 once, and you can change where it points at any time without reprinting. How that works
Give each code one job
A visitor deciding in five seconds will act on one clear choice. Pick the single thing you most want from someone walking past: a booked demo, a downloaded catalog, or an entry in a raffle.
If you want to offer more than one thing, use separate codes in separate places, each with its own label. You can then compare how many scans each one gets on its order page.
Where to place the codes
Think about where a visitor's eyes and phone already are.
- Put the main code on the banner at chest or eye height. A code near the floor is hard to scan and easy to miss.
- Add a second code on the front of the table, facing the aisle, so people can scan without stepping into the booth.
- Print a small code on handouts and lanyard cards, so people who walk away can still act later.
- Make the banner code about 6 inches wide for visitors scanning from about 5 feet away.
- Use a matte banner. Spotlights bounce off glossy vinyl and can wash a code out.
Make the page work on a crowded show floor
Exhibit halls often have weak, shared Wi-Fi and poor cell signal. Keep the page light: short text, a single button, and no autoplay video.
If your page asks for details, keep the form to a name and an email address. A long form is the quickest way to lose a visitor who is already standing in an aisle.
Reuse the same banner for every show
Because the code is dynamic, you don't have to buy a new banner for each event. Before the doors open, change where the code points to the new show's offer or booking page.
Keep the older pages online for a while. Someone who picked up a card at last month's show may scan it today.

Questions
Will a code scan under booth lighting?
Usually, but glossy banners under bright spotlights can bounce light. Use a matte finish and test the printed banner in similar light.
How do I know which banner gets scans?
Give each banner its own code. Each code's order page shows a basic scan count.
Can I change the page during the show?
Yes. Edit the page the code opens, or point the code at a different address with your private edit link.
