QR codes for small shop orders
When an order arrives, the packaging is the one thing every customer sees. A thank-you card with a QR code can send them to care instructions, a review page, or a reorder link, and the card costs the same to print either way.
Pay $3 for a code you put on every card. Change what it opens whenever your offer or your products change.
This is a dynamic QR code: $3 once, and you can change where it points at any time without reprinting. How that works
What to put behind the code
The best pages are the ones a customer actually needs after the box arrives: how to care for the item, how to set it up, and how to reorder. A review request works best when it comes after they've used what they bought.
Choose one main action for each card. If you want care tips and a review, put the review request on the care page, so the customer reaches it after they've read something useful.
Where it goes in the package
Put it where the customer will see it when they open the box.
- On the back of the thank-you card, with a short line saying what the code opens.
- On a sticker that seals the tissue paper.
- On the packing slip or the inside of the box flap.
- At least 1 inch (2.5 cm) square on a small card, on matte cardstock rather than glossy.
Change the offer without reprinting
Print the cards in bulk and put your seasonal offers on the page behind the code. Don't print an expiring coupon code on the card itself, since you can't change it once it's printed. A page you can update never goes out of date.
Check the rules where you sell
Some online marketplaces limit what you can put in a package or how you can ask for reviews. Read the rules for the places you sell before you add a card.

Questions
Can I put a code in packages from online marketplaces?
Rules vary. Check each marketplace's policy on package inserts and review requests.
Should the card offer a discount?
A discount shown on the page works well because you can change or end it without reprinting the card.
How big should the code be on a small card?
At least 1 inch (2.5 cm) square, with a clear margin around it.
