QR codes for taxis, private hire and rideshare drivers
A good ride creates a customer who might call the same driver again, but only if they can find them. A card on the back of the seat with a code that opens your booking page turns one trip into a regular.
Phone numbers and booking systems change. The printed card stays the same.
This is a dynamic QR code: $3 once, and you can change where it points at any time without reprinting. How that works
What should a driver's QR code open?
One thing per placement.
| Placement | Opens |
|---|---|
| Seat-back card | Direct booking and favorite routes |
| Door sticker (parked) | Booking page |
| Receipt or card handed over | Review and tip page |
Are QR codes allowed in a taxi or private-hire car?
Rules differ by city, platform and licence. Check your local transport authority and the terms of any app you drive for, especially about taking riders off the platform. We only make the code.
How big should a seat-back code be?
About 3 to 4 cm (1.2 to 1.6 inches) square on a matte card, readable from an arm's length in dim light. Add the phone number in text as well.
Example signs
Each example code opens threedollarqrcode.com. Your code can open any page you choose.
