A free dynamic QR code sounds ideal, and for a small job it can be. The risk is the fine print: some expire after a trial, some stop at a scan limit, and some show ads.

Does a free dynamic QR code expire?

Will it show ads?

What should I check before printing?
Confirm in writing (on the pricing page or terms) what happens when a limit or trial ends, whether the code stays valid, and whether you can export or keep the link. Then scan the printed code on a couple of phones.
