QR codes for salons and barbershops
Most appointments start with a phone call or a message and then a back-and-forth about times. A code at the station, the front desk, and the window lets clients book as soon as they think of it.
Pay $3 for a code that opens your booking page. Put it on a small sign or sticker and leave it there.
Book the next visit before the client leaves
The best moment to book is while the client is in the chair and pleased with the result. A code on the mirror or at the register lets them reserve the next visit in a minute, without waiting for the front desk.
It also takes a little pressure off busy stylists, who would rather finish the cut than answer the phone.
Where the code goes
Place it where clients are idle and looking around.
- Put a small sticker on the corner of each station mirror, about 1 to 2 inches square.
- Add a code at the front desk, beside the card machine.
- Put one on the window at eye level for people walking past.
- Print it on the appointment card or receipt so it goes home with the client.
What the page should show
Put booking first, then the price list and the stylists' names. Keep it to a single screen, and test it on a phone with one thumb before you print anything.
If your booking software lets clients pick a stylist, link the code to that screen. If each stylist has a separate page, give each station its own code.
Ask for a review at the same time
A review request works best while the client is still admiring their haircut. Add a link at the bottom of your booking page, or use a second code on the receipt, that opens your review page.
Example signs
Each example code opens threedollarqrcode.com. Your code can open any page you choose.
Questions
Does the code replace my booking software?
No. It opens the booking page you already have. The code only saves clients from typing the address.
What if my mirror is small?
A sticker 1 to 2 inches square is enough as long as it has a clear margin around it. Put it in a corner away from the lights' glare.
Can I use one code for every stylist?
Yes, if the page lets the client choose a stylist. Otherwise, give each stylist's station its own code.
