QR codes for product packaging and labels

A code on the box lets a customer set up, register a warranty, or reorder without digging through a paper insert. Paper inserts go out of date and end up in the bin. A web page can be updated.

Pay $3 for one code, point it at the page you want, and print it on the packaging. The code stays the same, while the page behind it can change.

Set up in 2 minScan for the guide
A code on the front label of a box, with a short line that tells the customer what they'll find.

Use it for what paper inserts can't do

Setup videos, troubleshooting steps, a warranty form, and a reorder link all sit behind one scan. Paper can hold only a few of those, and it can't be corrected after printing.

A short label like 'Set up in 2 min' tells the customer what they'll get before they scan, so the code doesn't feel like a random ad.

Where to place it on the package

Use a flat panel on the back or bottom of the box, away from folds, seams, and tape. Those spots bend the code and make it hard to scan.

Match the page to the product

Send the scan to a page that matches the box: the model number, a setup guide with photos, and a warranty form that takes under a minute. Leave out pop-ups and sign-in walls, which read as an upsell.

If you sell several models, give each model its own code so the setup guide matches the box in the customer's hands.

Test the print before the full run

Ink, paper, and lamination all change how a code scans. Before you print a full run, scan a sample with at least three phones, in normal room light and near a window. Reprint the run if any phone struggles.

Questions

Can one code go on many products?

Yes, but every scan opens the same page. Use a code per product when the setup steps differ.

Does the code affect my packaging design?

It needs contrast and open space. A small dark square on a light panel works best, placed where it won't cover your logo.

What if a print run is damaged or I change the code?

Each code is tied to the page it opens. Reprint the affected boxes, and keep the page online for customers who already have the product.
